Mr. Manoj Patel

Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, Solaryaan

Mr. Manoj Patel is a Power Electronics engineer, passionate technologist and the visionary founder of Solaryaan. His entrepreneurial journey began after he personally identified a component-level defect in a solar inverter that had remained unresolved despite repeated service visits. The experience revealed a larger industry challenge—the need for reliable products, engineering expertise and dependable technical support. After studying solar technologies and service practices across India and international markets, he established Solaryaaan on 24 November 2019. Under his leadership, Solaryaan has evolved from a solar inverter company into an integrated energy solutions organisation focused on solar inverters, hybrid energy systems, battery storage, power electronics and intelligent energy management. A systems thinker with a deep interest in component-level engineering, Mr. Manoj believes technology creates meaningful impact only when it performs consistently for the people who depend on it. Guided by the purpose of “Empowering a Billion Lives with Clean Energy,” he continues to lead Solaryaan with a focus on engineering excellence, service, innovation, energy independence and nation-building.

Mr. Shalin Botadra

Co-Founder & Joint Managing Director, Solaryaan

Mr. Shalin Botadra is an engineer, finance expert and accomplished business leader with experience in the real estate sector. His multidisciplinary expertise enables him to evaluate opportunities through the combined lens of technical feasibility, financial sustainability and long-term value creation. As Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director, he has played an instrumental role in building Solaryaan’s organisational foundation, expanding its market presence, strengthening regional operations and developing capable teams. Mr. Shalin currently leads the development of Solaryaan’s new cell manufacturing facility—a strategically important initiative aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing and contributing to a more self-reliant clean-energy ecosystem in India. Bringing together his engineering knowledge, financial expertise and experience in large-scale infrastructure development, he oversees the project’s commercial viability, execution planning, infrastructure requirements and long-term scalability. With a disciplined approach to capital, operations and execution, Mr. Shalin continues to strengthen Solaryaan’s financial, operational and manufacturing capabilities while contributing to India’s journey towards energy independence.

Chief Executive Officer, Solaryaaan

Mr. Chirag Patel is a MBA gold medalist & renewable energy industry veteran with more than 24 years of leadership experience across the renewable energy, power and telecom sectors. He has built a strong track record of transforming businesses, expanding markets, strengthening distribution networks and creating sustainable value. As Chief Executive Officer, he is leading the transformation into Solaryaan 2.0, positioning the company as a diversified and future-ready clean energy technology enterprise. Under his leadership, Solaryaan is expanding beyond grid-tied solar inverters into hybrid energy systems, battery storage, EV charging infrastructure and emerging energy technologies. Before joining Solaryaan, Mr. Chirag held senior leadership positions at Shakti Pumps, Havells India, Panasonic and Tata Power Solar. His leadership approach combines strategic thinking, empathy and disciplined execution. He believes empowered teams, strong systems and a culture of accountability are essential for sustainable growth. He has championed MANSHA as the cultural foundation of Solaryaan 2.0, bringing together the values of Manufacturing Excellence, Assurance of Quality, Nation Building, Service Excellence, Humility and Accountability.
